More Ways to Give

Create a Student Award

Did you know students who receive a bursary are twice as likely to graduate, however, due to limited resources, Mount Royal is only able to support one in nine (or 10 per cent) of those who qualify.

Creating a student award is a great way to directly help students by alleviating financial stress so that students can be fully committed to their studies.

Creating an Endowment

The minimum amount required to establish a named endowment award at Mount Royal is $30,000. Endowments may be created by a single gift, or a series of gifts, over a maximum of five years. The full minimum must be invested for one year before the inaugural scholarship or bursary is awarded.

Gifts in Kind

Mount Royal University Foundation is pleased to accept gifts in kind when appropriate. These gifts may include equipment, books, artwork, securities or any other non-cash gift. Donors of non-monetary eligible gifts (or gifts-in-kind) are entitled to receive an official receipt that reflects the fair market value of the gift.

Corporate & Foundation Giving

When a company chooses to support our community with a transformative gift it shows leadership, foresight and an undeniable desire to leave a positive mark on our world. We are pleased to work directly with corporations to make a big impact in areas that sync with corporate values. Corporate Sponsorship

Looking for a way to partner with Mount Royal University that is unique to your corporate goals? We are proud to offer customized and rewarding sponsorship opportunities. By sponsoring an event or program your organization will receive recognition and exposure along with the positive feeling of setting MRU students up for success.

Matching Gift Programs

Every gift, no matter the size, has an impact on our students. By making your contribution a matching gift, you can double or in some cases, triple, the impact of your gift.

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. Some companies will also match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses. You could multiply the impact of your gift! If your company is listed as a matching donor, please consult your HR department to facilitate the match. Ask your HR department if your company has a matching gift program and take advantage of the opportunity to maximize the power of your gift to Mount Royal University.
