A Second World War veteran who flew Spitfires in combat, survived the harrowing invasion of Normandy, served in the Cold War and then found success in the aviation support industry, Ken Lett has lived a life dedicated to the skies. Now, at 97, he is giving back to a new generation of pilots with a $2.4 million donation to the Mount Royal University Aviation Diploma program.

Ptarmigan Charitable Foundation Donating $1.4 M to Aavance Indigenous Business Leaders at MRU
The gift will fund a chair position in the Indigenous Business and Economic Development concentration. The initiative will see the two institutions collaborating to deliver a new program in Indigenous Business and Economic Development (IBED) as a degree concentration within the Bachelor of Business Administration.

RBC Foundation Supports Continuation of Two Growth and Innovation Programs
In support of work-integrated learning opportunities for students, Mount Royal University’s Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship was recently the recipient of a generous gift of $525,000 from the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) Foundation. The donation will be broken down into $175,000 per year over three years, with the grant to be divided over two programs.
